who are we?

The owners of Satchfield started their business in May 2015 in the private swimming pool of their own house. This was modified for public use by the addition of toilets, changing rooms and a new pool water management system to accommodate baby and young children.

The uptake of pool time was by separate independent swim companies, mostly operating under franchise agreements of their own, for 30 minute lesson slots. The available pool time was rapidly taken up and within 12 months of opening pool for commercial operations, 45 hours per week was being rented by five separate swimming companies; a total of over 400 swimmers per week.

Success also brought its challenges. The limitations of the building and location started to demonstrate weaknesses. For example parking was always a problem along with the general wear and tear on the domestic facilities not designed to take hundreds of visitors per week. Never the less, the owners had seen the opportunity and wanted to build on their success.

 

In early 2017, the owners decided to build a new custom designed dedicated pool to commercial standards in a nearby location. The building was designed very much for the purpose of teaching babies and children to swim with no compromises as to quality and customer enjoyment.  The pool was ready to take swimmers by Oct 2017 and since then has grown to over 1,000 swimmers per week.  The design and quality of build demonstrated that a building of this type can take the high swimming numbers yet continue to maintain its freshness and appeal for parents and children alike.

 

In early 2021, the owners decided to take the swimming pool design to the next level and build the next pool with portability and re use as being added to the core themes, again without compromising quality or customer enjoyment.  The pool was opened in May 2021 and has so far proved a fantastic success.

The owners are  now investing in the next developments to reduce the carbon footprint of swimming pools, with these products being made available starting late 2022.
